Monty Python bestand aus:
Alle sechs Mitglieder hatten in Oxford oder Cambridge studiert und hatten schon Erfahrung im Comedybereich. Von 1969 bis 1974 drehten sie für die BBC 45 Folgen der Serie Monty Python's Flying Circus, in der Sketche und Trickfilmszenen gemixt wurden. Die Serie bestach durch ihren schrägen Humor. In Anlehnung an Franz Kafka wurde diese Stilrichtung auch als "pythonesk" bezeichnet. Kurz nach dem Ausstieg von John Cleese wurde die Serie eingestellt.
Bekannt ist auch die Erkennungsmelodie aus Monty Python's Flying Circus. Sie stammt aus John Philip Sousas The Liberty Bell.
Nach ihrer Zeit beim Fernsehen drehten Monty Python noch einige Filme. Auch einzeln waren die Mitglieder als Schauspieler, Autor oder Regisseur erfolgreich (auch schon vor ihrer Monty Python-Zeit) und sind es zum Teil auch heute noch.

Diese Computerspiele wurden von 7th Level in Zusammenarbeit mit Eric Idle und Terry Gilliam entwickelt.
Interessant ist, dass sie uns auch den Begriff "Spam" (siehe dort, 1. Absatz des Abschnittes "Historisches") in der heute gebrauchten Bedeutung beschert haben (als allgegenwärtige "Sülze") - Wikingersketch.
Umgekehrt hat die Programmiersprache Python ihren Namen der Verehrung der "Pythons" durch den Autor Guido van Rossum zu verdanken.
